Why Clermont?

Most visitors to Orlando never see this side of Central Florida. Just west of the city, the Clermont Chain of Lakes connects 11 lakes through narrow canals and creeks. There are big open lakes to cruise, quiet coves to float in, and tea-colored water lined with moss-draped cypress.

It’s a full day out, but it doesn’t feel like work. You drive your own boat, set your own pace, and bring your own food and drinks. No reservations at the next ride, and no waiting in line.

How far is it?

We’re at Cypress Cove Marina & Resort, 10354 Cypress Cove Ln, Clermont, FL 34711. Typical drive times, depending on traffic:

  • Walt Disney World area and Kissimmee: about 30–40 minutes
  • Downtown Orlando: about 40 minutes
  • International Drive: about 40 minutes

Before you travel

  • Drivers must be 25+ with prior boating experience.

  • Life jackets are provided in standard adult sizes. Bring properly fitted vests for young children.
  • Pack a cooler with lunch, water, and drinks, plus sunscreen, hats, and towels.
  • Book a morning start in summer. Afternoon storms are common, and we open at 9 AM.

Flexible plans: cancel or move your date for free up to 72 hours before your rental. If a major storm hits the morning of your trip, we’ll reschedule you.
